An inaugural ceremony of HATO PAKISTAN was held on the 11th of May 2022 at the National Science and Technology Park NUST. CEO HATO Pakistan Rizwan Majeed Khan, CEO HATO Netherland Paul Obers, CEO Jadeed Group & President of World’s Poultry Science Association (WPSA) Mian Jan Muhammad Javed Rathor & Deputy Head of mission embassy of Netherland Ms. Lianee Houben and First Secretary Economic Affairs Mr Paul Ederer graced the occasion.

Pro-Rector Research Innovations and Commercialization (RIC) Dr. Rizwan Riaz and Director NSTP Dr. Salman Raza Naqvi were also present therein.

The CEO added herein how is research team is more than willing to provide a unique opportunity to the Pakistani Poultry industry by aiding it to adopt a more scientific approach in modern farming, with the help of HATO’s lighting solutions and plans.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was first performed by Paul Obers, the Dutch Deputy Ambassador, and Mian Jan Muhammad Javed so as to inaugurate the HATO Pakistan office at NSTP. The guests were given an in-depth overview of the production facilities, as well as demos of the assembling of unit parts and machines. CEO Paul Obers Netherland and CEO HATO PAKISTAN Rizwan Majeed demonstrated the importance of LED lighting in a scientific way, alongside explaining the differences between HATO LED lighting and other traditional lighting. Mian Jan Muhammad Javed added in his own experience with the HATO lighting and was quite impressed by their quality and IP Levels. An MOU was also signed between HATO PAKISTAN and Jadeed Group for further cooperation in research Projects (Poultry LED lighting & Insect Farming).

The deputy Ambassador Ms. Lianee Houben talked about the strengthening of ties between the Dutch and Pakistani business community and academia and also added that her staff shall always be available to support technology transfer to the required sector.

By the end of the event, HATO Pakistan thanked Dr. Rizwan Riaz and Director NSTP, Dr. Salman Raza Naqvi, for their support in making the ceremony a successful one. CEO Rizwan Majeed Khan also added how NSTP is an excellent space for R&D and is a powerhouse for innovation in Pakistan.
