An agreement was signed between National Science & Technology Park (NSTP) and Digirocx Private Limited (a company that specializes in building and running Data Centers, establishing IT ecosystems and allied technologies) for mutual collaboration in partnering to establish infrastructure to further develop the NSTP and state-of-the-art Tier-3 Data Center at NUST H-12 Campus. Digirocx will also establish a training center at NSTP to provide opportunities for skill development to enable engineers for data center technologies, cloud services and data sciences.
The ceremony was hosted by Dr Rizwan Riaz, Pro-Rector (Research, Innovation & Commercialization NUST and VP NSTP) with Mr. Rasim Bokhari (CEO Digirocx), Mr. Imran Qureshi (Director Operations Digirocx), Mr. Salman Ahmed (Business Head Digirocx), Dr. Salman Raza Naqvi (Director NSTP) and Mr. Emmad Ehsan (GM Innovation NSTP).
NUST will have Digirocx as liaison in accessing Silicon Valley VCs for its tech startups, trainings leading to job for its students and R&D opportunity in technologies related to data centers. 3-5 Million USD will be invested by Digirocx initially for Data Center, and Training Center.
