The 15th Selection Board of Hi-Tech SMEs and Startups was held online on 30 Dec 2022 and the results were announced on March 1st, 2022. The selection board was chaired by Dr. Rizwan Riaz Vice President – National Science & Technology Park.
Out of a total of 300 applications, 32x innovative startups were shortlisted for office space in the Cube8 programme of NSTP. Each of these shortlisted companies went through a series of rigorous screenings and selection processes, pitching themselves to a team of experts from the industry and academia so as to become part of the innovative system of NSTP.
The startups were evaluated by judges on several factors such as founder’s motivation, team cohesiveness, market need / potential, brilliance of idea, quality of pitch, growth potential, and focus on R&I.
The selected startups span across the 8 themes of NSTP. The startups that made through the selection board include Thermalog, Bill T Logistics, FlightSight, QualvenTech, VisionRD, Fixfirst, ApnaWifi, ERAYS Technologies Private Limited, Optymyze Technologies, Toktomy, and Intelligent Learning Machines (ILM).
Details of the startups:
- FlightSight:
Developing an AI based Golf Launch Monitor app that will help golf players improve their game by tracking their performance through information such as ball speed, launch angle, launch direction, max. height of ball, hang time and total carry distance at landing.
- Fixfirst:
It is a German-based company that is aiming to develop an operating system for repair & maintenance in a circular economy.
- Intelligent Learning Machines:
Working on Automotive AI enabled Algorithms for Battery Management System’s State of Charge & State of Health. The AI-enabled Algorithms will provide a better State of Charge Estimation of Li-Ion battery packs for EV/PHEV Vehicles which will increase efficiency and reduce the overall cost.
- Bilty:
Revolutionizing online trucking Marketplace in Pakistan by offering a Logistics Network with city-wide offices and quality distribution facilities.
- Optymyze Technologies:
Optymyze Technologies helps the agri-farmers identify the best products using AI and ML algorithms. The startup is automating the marketing campaigns for direct access to the market, and helping farmers generate more revenue by eliminating the middleman.
- VisionRD:
Vision RD is developing an AI-Based product inspection tool to help Automobile & Part manufacturing companies automate manual quality inspection process. The AI dashboards provide detailed analytics related to quality issues of the parts that help in data-driven decision-making to improve the manufacturing processes.
- Toktomy:
Toktomy is researching on three products: AI based chatbot, Intelligent CV analyser, routeAI – intelligent routing tool.
- QualvenTech:
Developing a BeeHive Information Management System.
- ERAYS Technologies Pvt Ltd:
The startup is developing a product called “Smart Feet” that detects the diabetic foot ulcer earlier and also quantifies the level of ulcer / neuropathy in real time and sends notification via mobile app.
- ApnaWifi:
Apnawifi is developing an advance WiFi marketing platform available for the restaurant industry. The technology enables clients to retarget audiences across all digital mediums and platforms that improves ROI of advertisement campaigns.
- Intelligent Learning Machines:

Over the two years, the founders of these startups will focus on getting to or expanding their business with the help of NSTP mentors and the innovation team that includes Emmad Ehsan, GM Innovation, and Yaruq Nadeem, Manager Innovation.
